Community Project – Painting

It was great to get back out into the community after the Covid lockdowns we have had lately.  Our first project for us, was helping someone finish painting a room. Due to health she could not complete the project herself. So a few members got together to complete the project for her. One group turned up on Saturday and finished preparing the room ready for painting. And on Sunday, a second crew came along, with paint brushes and rollers in hand, and completed the room. Thank you to all of the members of Rotary New Lynn and even one from Rotary Henderson.
“It was so lovely for the members of Rotary New Lynn to come along a help me.  What a great group of people.  Their help has gotten the project completed, which is something I would not have been able to do. The list of things they do for our community is amazing.  Well done Rotary New Lynn. I appreciate all you have done for me.”

Drowning Prevention

We did a launch of the club’s Drowning Prevention project which was held last Saturday in front of the New Lynn Library. There was an interactive demo presentation and Sausage Sizzle. Thank you to all the members, participants and volunteers who came especially Madison Chang, Asian Community Coordinator, also Matt and Michael from Henderson Rotary Club.
